Clients who attend Freestyle Academy of Dance will learn to dance like those in pop videos and the many dance shows that are on television at present. Additionally, clients will work towards dance examiniations, competitions and shows (if they wish) largely in street, freestyle and breakdancing, although other dance styles will be incorporated.

 

Both street and freestyle dance are popular forms of physical exercise that adopt several steps and movements incorporating arm, head and hand positions to form a dance routine. The great thing about both styles of dance is that the individula dancer can express themselves as there is no formal technique as there is with other dancer styles, it is simply about the translation of sound into movement.

 

Not merely would students of Freestyle Academy of Dance learn to dance physically, but they would also be expected to learn about dance theoretically, i.e. about anatomy and physiology and the mechanics of the human body.

 

Guest dancers will also be brought in to take on workshops in all different dance disciplines including Break Dancing, Latin, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Ballet, Tap and Rock n Roll.
